How to Plan a Small, Budget Friendly Wedding

When the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, many of you had no choice but to put your wedding planning on halt while majority of our brides had their wedding dates postponed to an uncertain date. Some of you may have even gotten some money forfeited along the way. We feel you.

Though many limitations have been lifted, it is still good to take precautionary steps for your upcoming wedding and play by the SOP.

Keeping It Minimal

Stay true to yourself and simplify your wedding. Instead of having to do a ceremony and a celebration dinner as different occasion why not combine them into one? You save on your budget of having to design two occasions. Set the right mood and keep your ceremony short and sweet before you move on to your reception to celebrate. While you’re at it, opt for things that are necessary only and remember to practice distancing. Go digital if you have to, like invitation cards and thank you notes.

Shorten Your Guest List, Give Them Exclusivity

To make small wedding happens, keep your guest list short. Invite people that matters to you most, your family and close friends. With a shorter guest list, you’ll be able to keep things in order especially when you need to adhere to the SOPs set by the government. As the list gets shorter, your celebration gets bigger with more warmth and joy with your closed ones. It's a great time to share stories about you two that you've never share before!

DIY with Your VIPs

Yes, it’s the perfect timing to express yourself! Together with your wedding planner, plan everything you need and sort the items out according to the checklist. You will notice there are things that you can get your VIPs involved. For example, making your own wedding invitations, wedding rundown and programs, aisle and table decorations and more! You can go for ready design invitation cards and add your personal touch to it. This way, you’ll be able to keep track of your expenses and at the same time, keeping your wedding your style.

Getting an Affordable Wedding Outfit

There are many ways to save money when it comes to your dream wedding outfit and that includes keeping a good lookout for great bargains, like a sample sale or clearance sale or simply rent. Always share with your bridal consultants what you have in mind and if you have a budget that you need to follow.
